Welcome to the USGenweb page for Schoolcraft County Michigan. I am Ron Fuller and I am your host for this site. I live in Charlevoix County but I was born in Luce County, which is my main genealogical interest, and next door to Schoolcraft County. Since I live so far away I have limited resources for lookups. If you are able to assist in lookups send me e-mail.
Official Disclaimers Schoolcraft County was created on March 9, 1843, from Chippewa and Mackinac counties, and organized on March 23, 1871, with the seat established at Onota. By 1882 this was changed to Manistique. It's present limits were defined in 1885. It is named for Henry R.
